About Panchakarma

The hospital has developed a specialized Panchakarma unit where both students and patients benefit from direct experience with these ancient therapeutic procedures. Panchakarma refers to five standard therapeutic treatments: Vaman (emesis therapy), Virechan (purgation therapy), Basti (medicated enema), Nasya (nasal administration), and Raktamokshana (bloodletting therapy). These treatments are integral to Ayurvedic medicine for both preventive and curative purposes.

Virechan
